Asking the assistant

Every RezetHub organisation has an assistant. You ask it questions in plain words, such as “Which batches still need weighing?” or “What did we recover in the last 12 months?”, and it answers from your organisation’s own records. It can also draw a chart or a table for you, and prepare changes for you to approve (see What the assistant can do for you).

Your organisation may have given the assistant a name. Wherever this page says “the assistant”, the app shows that name instead. See The assistant’s name and memory.

The home page opens with a large Search & Ask box and an Ask button.

  1. Type your question in the box.
  2. Press Ask, or press Enter.
  3. The answer appears under the box, marked An answer, unsaved.

Under the box are three suggested questions for your seat. Click one to ask it. For example, an operations supervisor sees “Which runs can I seal today?”, “Which sealed runs have no headcount?” and “What arrives today?”.

If you are an organisation administrator, the line beside the suggestions also shows how many AI credits are left this month, for example “1,200 of 2,000 AI credits left this month”. See AI credits.

Under an answer:

  • Open it out opens the conversation in the assistant’s side panel, where you can keep asking.
  • Keep it as a view saves a chart or table the assistant drew to your Dashboards. Once kept, the label reads A view, kept.

On every other page, the Search & Ask box sits in the header. Press the / key to jump to it.

  • Type a batch or run code, and matching records appear in a list. Press Enter or click one to open it.
  • Type anything else and choose Ask the assistant: “…” (or press Enter). The side panel opens with the answer.

The assistant’s button in the header (it carries the assistant’s name, or “The assistant”) opens and closes the side panel. Press Escape to close it.

  1. Type in the box at the bottom of the panel and press Enter.
  2. The answer appears in the conversation, with links to the records it used.
  3. Keep asking: the conversation carries on from what was said.

The assistant knows which page you are on. Ask “what is wrong with this one?” on a run’s page and it reads that run.

To show it something on screen, use Attach a screenshot (the paperclip), paste an image into the box, or drop one onto it. One PNG, JPEG or WebP image of up to 5 MB goes with each question. The image is sent with that one question and is not kept.

Nothing typed in the panel is saved until you save it.

When you ask the assistant to show you something, for example “show me what was received by material this month”, it draws a view: figures, charts and tables built from your records.

In the side panel:

  • Expand the dashboard (the arrows icon) opens the view at full width beside the conversation. Back to the side panel returns to the narrow panel. Expanding is not offered on a phone.
  • Save to Dashboards keeps the view. It then shows Saved and an Open in Dashboards button.

You can ask about any figure in a view. Click the ? in its corner, or hold Ctrl (Cmd on a Mac) and click the figure. The assistant explains where the number comes from.

Dashboards lists every dashboard you can open. You reach it from All dashboards on the home page.

  • Describe the dashboard you want: type what you want to see and press Build it. The assistant builds it in the side panel.
  • Everyone’s: the dashboards RezetHub ships for every organisation: The floor today, Evidence, Arrivals and tasks and This month’s material. Click + (Keep on my dashboards) on one to keep a copy of your own. It then says A copy is under Yours.
  • Yours: the views you kept. Until you keep one, it reads “Dashboards you keep from the assistant appear here”.

The home page shows the four shipped dashboards as tiles under Dashboards, each with its first figure.

Open a dashboard and it is rebuilt from your records. Refresh rebuilds it again. Refreshing does not ask the assistant anything, so it uses no AI credits, and the line beside it says so.

  • Needs you lists your open tasks, soonest first, each with a button for the act that clears it, then Tasks given to you with a link to Open your tasks.
  • A read-only member sees On the record instead: sealed batches with their passports, saved reports and recycling certificates.
  • Everything at your organisation lists every part of RezetHub you can reach, with counts.

A new organisation with no batch recorded yet sees Where to start instead, and the assistant’s three first steps: add the facilities, add the people, and receive the first batch.

What you see What it means
Your organisation has used its AI credits, so the assistant cannot answer. The views you already have keep working. The balance is used up. See AI credits.
The assistant is busy right now. Try again in a moment. RezetHub is holding new AI work back for a moment.
The assistant took too many steps without an answer. Try asking a narrower question. Ask something smaller.
I will not put a number on that You asked for a figure your records do not hold, such as a forecast. The assistant says why rather than guess.
